About RLeans Photography
My journey began in 2004. I had been dealing with some health issues and one of the recommendations my doctor gave was that I take leisure walks 2 to 3 times a day, and to take pictures along the way. I’ve always enjoyed photography but had never taken it too seriously. However, this proved to be very relaxing for me and I also captured thousands of beautiful scenes during my walks. I continued that journey, nurturing a passion I had but never truly gave the time. I used a Sony Cybershot and loved the results. My family recommended that I showcase and share my love of nature and photography with others. And thus, my second career began.
I have my bachelor’s in business management and my master’s in human resource management. I worked for the U.S. Government for 34+ years, and after retirement, I decided to focus fully on my Photography.
I trained with the NY Institute of Photography, can never learn too much. I have had gallery showings, participated in Art Hops and other art shows in south west Michigan. Collaborating with family, friends and customers has allowed me the opportunity to have my art showcased in their homes and offices. The exposure has also given me the opportunity to work with vendors who have requested and used my art in their place of business.
RLeans Photography is a family owned and run business. With the help of my two sons, both artists themselves, we’ve been able to get the art in front of and in the hands of more people over the years.
